For those of us who don’t have the ability to visit New York City to see world-class performances, Broadway at The Paramount brings National touring shows directly to Seattleites. And while we still have five productions to look forward to this spring and summer, the next season has been announced. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for it.

The 2026/27 season has seven shows in their regular subscription plan, with three additional optional add-ons. Kicking off the season in August, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child makes its Seattle debut. Following in October is the romance of Water for Elephants. November brings the buzzy new play about Mary Todd Lincoln, Oh, Mary!, and the 2024 Tony Award-winning Best Musical The Outsiders. In time for the holidays is the family favorite Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Starting 2027 off with passion is Hadestown in January followed by The Who’s Tommy in March. The wives of Henry VIII make a return to Seattle in April with Six. And finishing the season in the summer will be the beloved The Sound of Music and the Tony award-winning musical rendition of The Great Gatsby.

I’m thrilled to see so many new shows coming through next year, as well as another chance to see one of my favorites, the soundtrack of which I’ve had on repeat for the past two years (it’s Six in case you were interested). I encourage you to experience something new as well as the familiar — we are singularly lucky to have the chance to attend Broadway plays and musicals in the exquisite Paramount Theatre. — Ciara

A powerful piece of historical fiction, this production launches a national project to bring this story to opera stages across the country and speaks to the experiences of those who were banned from government employment and subject to humiliating investigations because of their sexuality.
