Who’s Who: Cast Bios
JULIANNA ARMSTRONG, she/her (Ensemble, u/s Balaga) is so excited to be part of Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE production of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 in Concert! She has previously played Wickersham #2 in Seussical the Musical (Broadway Bound Children's Theatre), and Anna in Disney's Frozen JR. (Taproot Theatre). She would like to thank her mom for always believing in her and taking the time to drive her to every practice.
REECE BARSNESS, (Ensemble, u/s Mary Bolkonsky) is so excited to be performing with this cast in her first Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production! She has been doing theater for 12 years; past productions include Anything Goes and Gypsy (Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute), Jane Eyre and Alice in Wonderland (Liberty High School), and more. TRISTAN CALKINS, he/him (Anatole) is ecstatic to be a part of this production! Tristan has been doing Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE since 2018, most recently in Mean Girls: High School Version and Les Misérables: School Edition. CHARLOTTE DAVIS, she/her (Ensemble, Opera Soloist, u/s Marya) is thrilled to be part of this production. Charlotte's previous credentials at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE are a turtle in Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. and three years in the Village Theatre Institute. Other recent roles she has played include the Centipede in James and the Giant Peach JR. and the Cat in Honk! JR. (Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts). EMILY DO, (Ensemble, Piano) is thrilled to make her theater debut in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 in Concert. Previously, she has only done theatrical work in school. Emily has experience in singing and playing the piano, and is excited to share her talents with this cast and crew. She would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for their support.

MARCIE FREUND, he/him (Dolokhov) is excited to be performing his fifth show at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE, as a more experienced and professional performer. Marcie's past shows at KIDSTAGE include The Addams Family Young@Part, Fiddler on the Roof, and most recently the 2025 SummerStock production of Les Misérables School Edition. He can't wait to show you what he's got next and hopes to do many more shows with KIDSTAGE in the future!
SELAH GIRGES, (Maidservant, Ensemble, Violin, u/s Helene) is currently a student at Village Theatre Institute and Dance. She has appeared as Hazel in Disney’s Newsies JR. (ManeStage Theatre), Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors at her high school, Traditions of Christmas (Laura Little Productions), and The Nutcracker (Master Ballet Academy). With five years of violin and three years of piano experience, Selah brings a strong musical foundation and dedication to every performance.

LENA HOBALLAH, she/her (Ensemble, u/s Sonya) is incredibly excited to debut in her first show with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE. She is currently in her second year of Village Theatre Institute and has been in many of her school productions including Matilda Wormwood in Matilda the Musical, the Killer Bunny in Monty Python’s Spamalot, an ancestor in The Addams Family, and much more. Lena would like to give thanks to her family, castmates, and directing team!
GISELLE KENDRICK, she/they (Andrey, u/s Natasha) is delighted to be in her seventh production at Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE! She is a Teeny Award winner for her work at KIDSTAGE, including Les Misérables: School Edition, Mean Girls: High School Edition, Fiddler on the Roof, KIDSTAGE Originals A Pirate's Pact, Holiday Cabaret, and The Prom. Giselle was a national finalist in True Colors Theatre's Next Narrative Monologue Competition at the Apollo Theater in New York City! She thanks her friends, teachers, and family for their never-ending support!
AIDEN KNUTZEN, he/him (Servant, Ensemble, u/s Andrey) is thrilled to be part of this production of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 in Concert! Some of his previous roles include Ensemble in The Prom, Joly in Les Misérables School Edition (Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE), and Bruce in Matilda the Musical at his school. Outside of theater, he enjoys playing alto saxophone in his school band and hanging out with friends. He would like to thank his parents for supporting his theater journey.

ETHAN LEE, he/him (Ensemble, u/s Opera Soloist) recently appeared in Les Misérables School Edition with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE. He’s thrilled to return to the stage with them in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 in Concert, eager to participate in the production.
ROWENA MCCLARY, she/her (Natasha) is so thrilled and grateful to portray this role in one of her favorite shows. This will be her 11th Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE show, where she has previously been seen as part of the Greek Chorus in Legally Blonde: The Musical, Alice in The Addams Family Young@Part, and Ensemble in The SpongeBob Musical. Thanks to M, D, and V for being so supportive. She is eager to share her passion and hopes you enjoy the show!
PEYTON MCCRERY, she/her (Marya) is excited to create this show with an incredible cast and team! She’s in Village Theatre Institute and active in her high school drama program. Favorite roles include Chava in Fiddler on the Roof, Shelby in The Prom (Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE), and Winnifred in her high school production of Once Upon a Mattress. Past credits: Calvin in A Wrinkle in Time, Bubbles in Disney’s Finding Nemo JR., Ensemble and u/s Wednesday in The Addams Family Young@Part (Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE) and Tilly in She Kills Monsters (Studio East). She is a proud Village Theatre Institute student, as well as a KIDSTAGE Technical Theater Program student, having most recently acted as a student stage manager for Les Misérables School Edition (KIDSTAGE). BENJAMIN SANCHEZ, he/him (Pierre) is back at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE, previously in Jesus Christ Superstar in Concert at KIDSTAGE and is now in Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 in Concert. He is very excited to make his first lead role debut with a show as wonderful as this and hopes that all has a fantastic show with such a fantastic cast.
INARA SHELDON, she/her (Prince Bolkonsky, Balaga, u/s Anatole). Select credits: Les Misérables School Edition, Fiddler on the Roof, The Prom, While They Last (Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE). Playwright: The Lonesome Writer and A Pirate's Pact (KIDSTAGE, Seattle Rep's Youthfest). She's ecstatic to work on one of her all-time favorite musicals before she's off to university. MAEBRY SMITH-PAUL, she/her (Ensemble, u/s Prince Bolkonsky) is so excited to be back on the stage with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE, as this is her fifth show in the program! You might’ve seen her as Mrs. Which in A Wrinkle in Time, or as Mordcha/Swing in Fiddler on the Roof, or as Crush in Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. (KIDSTAGE). RAY SUTHERLAND, they/them (Helene) is thrilled to be playing Helene in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 in Concert! Previous roles include Mama Morton in Chicago: Teen Edition, Paulette in Legally Blonde: The Musical, and Sandra in The Play That Goes Wrong. AIMEE HONG, she/her (Co-Music Director) is a Music Director/Voice Teacher about town. Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE: Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. Assistant Music Director roles at Village Theatre: Camelot, Little Shop of Horrors. Aimee has taught with KIDSTAGE since 2016. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Bellevue College, teaching Piano and Choir. Aimee music directs around the King County area and has been awarded two Certificates of Merit in Music Direction from Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (Into the Woods and Heathers the Musical). FRANCES VONADA, she/her (Co-Music Director) is so excited to be working on Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 in Concert. ANDREW LONG[AC1] , (Scenic Coordinator)
ATHENA RANDALL, she/they (Costume Coordinator) is a Seattle-based costume designer, draper, and stitcher. She graduated with a BFA from Vassar College in May 2025. She is passionate about historical costuming and is experienced in handling, studying, and exhibiting garments that date to the mid-19th century. Previous design credits include: Bodice, HELLO! My Name Is (Vassar College); Disney’s High School Musical, The Sound of Music, Disney’s The Jungle Book (Tripp Lake Camp). This is Athena’s first production with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE.
CLINT BULL, he/him (Lighting Designer) is thrilled to be back designing lights for Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE again! He has previously worked on past KIDSTAGE productions such as A Wrinkle in Time, Miscast Cabaret, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jasper in Deadland, I'm Doing This, and Krisis Kids Wilderness Adventure Camp. He would like to thank all his friends and family for just being so great.
ELISABETH EDMONDS, she/her (Sound Designer/Engineer) is currently a senior at Seattle Pacific University completing a BA in theater. Previous Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE credits include: Mean Girls: High School Edition (Sound Engineer), Holiday Cabaret (Sound Engineer), and Bright Star (Sound Designer and Engineer). In addition to her work in sound, she enjoys engaging with theater as an actor, stage manager, and playwright. She gives many thanks to her friends, family, and mentors for their influence and support.
MICHAEL OLSEN, he/him (Stage Manager) is thrilled to make his debut as Stage Manager with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE after serving as Stage Management Assistant for Les Misérables: School Edition (Summer 2025). Past credits include Assistant Stage Manager in Hadestown and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Tahoma Drama Club), and running crew for Mean Girls and Disney’s Frozen. Endless thanks to Ian for believing in him, and to his family for their constant love and encouragement.
DAVE MALLOY, (Book) is a composer/writer/performer/orchestrator. He has written fourteen musicals, including Moby-Dick, a four-part musical reckoning with Melville’s classic novel; Octet, a chamber choir musical about internet addiction; Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, an electropop opera based on a slice of Tolstoy’s War & Peace (12 Tony nominations, including Best Musical, Score, Book, and Orchestrations); Ghost Quartet, a song cycle about love, death, and whiskey; Preludes, a musical fantasia set in the hypnotized mind of Sergei Rachmaninoff; Little Bunny Foo Foo, a forest entertainment for small people; Three Pianos, a drunken romp through Schubert’s “Winterreise”; Black Wizard/Blue Wizard, an escapist RPG fantasy; Beowulf – A Thousand Years of Baggage, an anti-academia rock opera; Beardo, a reinterpretation of the Rasputin myth; Sandwich, a musical about killing animals; and Clown Bible, Genesis to Revelation told through clowns. He has won two Obie Awards, a Smithsonian Ingenuity Award, a Theater World Award, the Richard Rodgers Award, an ASCAP New Horizons Award and a Jonathan Larson Grant, and has been a MacDowell fellow and Composer-in-Residence at Ars Nova and the Signature Theatre. Village Theatre’s Technical Theater Program
Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE Technical Theater Program (TTP) provides hands-on experimental learning mentored by professionals in a wide variety of theater disciplines. TTP opportunities allow students to learn theater industry vocational skills such as direction, design, technical theater, and management. Special thanks to our TTP students who worked beside our professionals.
What’s a Concert Production?
This concert production will be professionally directed with full lights, sound, and orchestra, minimal design elements, and limited staging. Think rock concert meets musical theater!
