Who’s Who: Cast Bios

SIMONE ANDERSON, (Ensemble) is thrilled to make their Issaquah debut! Previous credits with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE Everett include Matilda and Guys and Dolls. Favorite school roles include Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical, Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical the Musical, and Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical. When not on stage, Simone competes in roller derby with the Seattle Derby Brats’ regional travel team, the Ultraviolets.

JACOB BAKER, he/him (Ensemble. u/s Gavroche) is thrilled to perform on Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE stage. He has brought the beloved characters of Young Kristoff in Disney’s Frozen and Flounder in Disney’s The Little Mermaid to life. A two-time Maple Valley Idol Jr. finalist, he won the 2024 People’s Choice Award for his standout vocal talent. Known for his charm, energy, and stage presence, Jacob continues to captivate audiences and grow as a young performer.

JOSH BAKER, he/him (Marius) previously appeared in A Christmas Story and Tuck Everlasting (Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE). At his high school, he played the beloved roles of Scuttle in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Weselton in Disney’s Frozen, Kevin G in Mean Girls, and Gavroche in Les Misérables. Additionally, he has understudied Orpheus, Olaf, and Percy Jackson. A two-time Maple Valley Idol Jr. finalist, he’s grateful for every opportunity to perform and learn from incredible mentors and peers.

ELI BILLINGS, (Montparnase, u/s Thenardier) is thrilled to be on Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE stage for the first time in Les Misérables School Edition. He was most recently seen in Hadestown: Teen Edition. Les Misérables is a longtime favorite of his and so he is grateful for the chance to perform in it. Eli would like to thank his incredible castmates and production team, and especially his supportive and wonderful family. Enjoy the show!

WALLACE BOBEK, (Lesgles) has been with Village Theatre Institute for two years. He played Tommy in Matilda and a gargoyle in Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame (At the Ridge Theatre). He enjoyed playing young Ebenezer and Peter Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (Second Story Repertory Theatre). He has also been in several productions at his school. NEIL CARDOSO, he/him (Thenardier) is an actor through and through, dabbling in improv and dance. Favorite roles include: Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof (Studio East), Milo in his school’s production of The Phantom Tollbooth, and now debuting at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE with an incredible cast and creative team. ADRIAN COLVILLE, (Enjolras) is so happy to be a part of this show. NELL EDLUND, (Ensemble, u/s Young Cosette, u/s Young Eponine). This is Nell’s second show with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE, but her first inIssaquah! She has loved Les Misérables for years and is super excited to be in it! Recent productions have included Anna in Disney’s Frozen JR., Willy Wonka in Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR. and Dmitry in Anastasia JR. Fun facts about Nell: she loves dogs, her favorite color is glitter, and she collects crystals and stuffies! She hopes you enjoy the show!

MARCIE FREUND, he/him (Brujon, u/s Valjean) is excited to do his fourth show at Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE! After starting with more contemporary shows, such as The Prom and The Addams Family Young@Part, Marcie progresses and evolves with classics such as Fiddler on the Roof and now, Les Misérables School Edition! Marcie has loved Les Mis since 13; watching the movie and listening to the soundtrack was a huge inspiration that helped him pursue musical theater. He is very excited to perform again!

MIDORI GOSPEL, she/her (Ensemble) is excited to be in yet another Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production! Previous roles include: Kaylee in The Prom, Ramses in The Lonesome Writer (KIDSTAGE Originals), and Dance Ensemble in Mean Girls: High School Version. ELIANA GREEN, (Eponine) is an energetic and talented performer with a strong voice and great stage presence. She has performed in many shows with Big Star Studios and in her school. She has been in various local productions including Eurydice in Hadestown: Teen Edition, Flotsam in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, and Fiddler, Chava, and U/S Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof. JULIETTE HAROON, (Ensemble) is excited to be a part of Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production of Les Misérables School Edition. She has also performed as Belinda Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (ACT Theatre), Yente in Fiddler on the Roof (KIDSTAGE), Lavender in Matilda (At the Ridge Theatre), and Louise in Sunday in the Park with George (Second Story Repertory Theatre). She is a Teeny Award winner for her work at KIDSTAGE, including Aaron in Mean Girls: High School Version, Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof, Vexis in KIDSTAGE Originals A Pirate's Pact, Holiday Cabaret, and The Prom. MARIA KNAUSS, she/her (Cosette) is thrilled to be a part of her sixth production, Les Miserables School Edition, with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE! AIDEN KNUTZEN, he/him (Joly) is so excited to be in Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production of Les Misérables School Edition! His previous roles include ensemble in The Prom (KIDSTAGE), and Bruce Bogtrotter in Matilda at his middle school. Outside of theater, he enjoys playing saxophone in band and playing video games with his friends. ANDREW KWON, he/they (Javert) is so excited to be cast in this dream role! Previous Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE credit: Core Vocalist/Disciple in Godspell. Favorite roles: Beast/Prince in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone, Tinsworthy in 9 to 5, and Wolf/Prince in Into the Woods JR. Andrew has been in Village Theatre Institute classes for five years and placed second in baritone voice solo at state. He thanks his teachers, parents and best friend Alden.

ETHAN LEE, he/him (Bamatabois). This is Ethan's first show at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE. Previous roles he's played at his high school include: Johnathon Harker from Dracula, U/S Wadsworth from Clue, and U/S Coach Bolton from Disney’s High School Musical. He hopes you enjoy the show.

JACK LEWIS, he/him (Claquesous) is thrilled to be cast in his first Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production. His previous acting experience includes school productions as Killer Kane in Freak the Mighty, Mr. Krabs in The SpongeBob Musical JR., and Ensemble in Legally Blonde JR. ANNA MARROQUIN, (Fantine) is ecstatic to make her Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE debut with this production of Les Misérables School Edition! Previous credits include Anya in Anastasia, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Inspector Carter in The Play That Goes Wrong, Janis in Mean Girls, and Pearl in The SpongeBob Musical. She also had the honor of opening the Washington State Thespian Festival with a solo performance at The 5th Avenue Theatre. Big time thanks to her family, mom, and the production team. PEYTON McCRERY, she/her (Ensemble) is excited to be a part of Les Misérables School Edition! Peyton trains with Village Theatre Institute. Recent credits include: Chava in Fiddler on the Roof and Shelby in The Prom (Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE), and Winnifred in her high school production of Once Upon a Mattress. CHARLOTTE MICHEL, she/her (Ensemble) is ecstatic to be in her first SummerStock show at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE. Past favorite roles at KIDSTAGE include: Mrs. Whatsit in A Wrinkle in Time, the Summer Performance Intensive, and Peach the Starfish and Vocal Captain in Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. ELLIOT PARK, he/him (Feuilly). Elliot was last seen in Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE A Wrinkle in Time. Some of his favorite past roles include Marlin in Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. (KIDSTAGE) and Orcus in She Kills Monsters (Studio East). He sends love to his parents, his friends, and especially his sibling Lou. He'd like to remind everyone that there's always something worth fighting for.

ANDREW PAULL, he/him (Combeferre, u/s Marius) is looking forward to jumping into his first production with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE! SLOANE PEARCE, (Madame Thénardier) is thrilled to make her Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE debut! A passionate performer, she found a love of acting in her high school production of Disney’s Newsies. A trained mezzo-soprano, Sloane brings her vocal strength to the role of Madame Thénardier. She is excited to share her love of musical theater with KIDSTAGE’s audience.

CAMMIE PLOEGER, (Ensemble, u/s Eponine) is thrilled to be a part of her first Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE production and more importantly, the show Les Misérables School Edition. Previously performing as Ti Moune in Once on This Island, Gretchen in Mean Girls and SpongeBob in The SpongeBob Musical (Redmond Academy of Performing Arts), Cammie is excited to take on another show. She thanks her family for supporting her and hopes you enjoy!

BEVERLY RHEE, she/her (Young Eponine). This is Beverly's first show at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE! Beverly has been doing theater for about seven years now. Les Misérables is one of her favorite shows and she is very happy to be playing Young Eponine. When not doing theater, she likes to bake, play the flute and piano, and care for her pets.

ALDEN SCHREIBER, he/him (Babet) was last seen on Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE SummerStock stage in The Prom (2023). He just completed his fifth year of Village Theatre Institute and is looking forward to year six. He is also a competitive athlete who wrestles and plays lacrosse (LSM/Defense) for his high school program. Alden enjoys singing in Chamber Choir, eating his creations in culinary class, and AP Psychology. He can be found in the wild poking at his friends and then kicking rocks.

INARA SHELDON, she/her (Ensemble, u/s Madame Thenardier) is so thrilled that you're here! Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE credits include: Fiddler on the Roof, While They Last, The Lonesome Writer, A Pirate's Pact (Playwright) and A Wrinkle in Time (Directing Assistant). ELI SNOW, he/him (Grantaire) is excited to be in his third Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE show. After his roles as Mendel in Fiddler on the Roof and Glen Coco in Mean Girls: High School Version, Eli is ready to defend the barricade with his commrades as Grantaire in this summer's Les Misèrables School Edition. He is thrilled to bring his revolutionary spirit and natural talent of standing slightly to the left in large group numbers, back to the stage!

ANNELIESE ULMER-SCHULTZ, she/her (Ensemble, u/s Cosette) is so excited to be performing in her first show with Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE! Select previous credits include: Persephone in Hadestown, A Christmas Carol (ACT Theatre 2023 and 2024), Pagliacci and Das Rheingold (Seattle Opera). Anneliese is grateful for her family, voice teacher Allison, and the entire Les Mis team for their support.

IZZY URBANO, she/her (Ensemble) has appeared at Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE as Ensemble in The Prom and A Wrinkle in Time, and finished her third year in Village Theatre Institute. She recently appeared as Bonnie in Anything Goes (Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts), where she also performed her favorite role of Catherine Parr in Six! A native Houstonian, Izzy is happy to have a great community of mentors in Washington. She thanks her friends and family, near and far, for their support!

LIAM WHEELER, he/him (Fouchelevant, u/s Javert) is so excited to work with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE for the first time on his dream show, Les Misérables School Edition! He has done theater for two years now, playing featured ensemble roles in high school productions of Something Rotten! and Puffs, as well as the lead role of Captain Phoebus in Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He has earned Superior and Excellent Awards in Thespys and was a finalist in the 2025 Schmidt Vocal Arts competition.

MADELINE WILLIAMS, she/her (Jean Valjean) is very excited to be a part of this wonderful show! Past credits include: Judas Iscariot in Jesus Christ Superstar In Concert (Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE), Eurydice in Hadestown: Teen Edition (Ballyhoo Theatre), and Ensemble and U/S Natalie Hilliard in Mrs. Doubtfire (The 5th Avenue Theatre). Madeline is endlessly grateful for her family, friends, and teachers for always supporting her.

COLE WOLF, he/him (Foreman) is so grateful to have been a part of such a beautiful production. He would like to thank his family, the production team, and everyone who convinced him to do this show! This is Cole's second show ever, having previously been seen as Workers’ Chorus and U/S Hades in his high school’s production of Hadestown. Cole would like you to always remember, "believe in yourself, believe in yourself, believe in yourself."

LILLIAN ZERBEY, she/her (Young Cosette) is elated to be making her Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE debut! Her recent roles include Jojo in Seussical the Musical, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Mal in Disney's Descendants, Charlie Bucket in Willy Wonka (Broadway Bound Children's Theatre), and Annie in Annie JR. (Taproot Theatre). She would like to thank her family and dedicates this to her Nana - Les Misérables was her favorite and she would have loved to see her granddaughter on stage.

TIMOTHY McCUEN PIGGEE, he/him (Director). Village Theatre directing credits: The Color Purple, Hello, Dolly!, and co-directing Hairspray and Dreamgirls. For Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE: The School of Rock, Shrek The Musical, and Peter Pan. His other performing and directing work has been seen on Broadway, The 5th Avenue Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, ACT Theatre, Portland Center Stage, Arizona Theatre Company, and Seattle Rep. Timothy is a proud recipient of the Lunt-Fontanne fellowship and the Gregory A. Falls Gregory Award for sustained achievement.

MACKENZIE MALHOTRA, she/her (Choreographer, Associate Director) is thrilled to be working on her first Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE SummerStock production! Previous Village Theatre credits: Associate Choreographer for Camelot and Swing for The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes (Mainstage), Choreographer for The Addams Family Young@Part, Choreographer/Associate Director for Holiday Cabaret, Director for High School Musical JR. CADEN GREEN, he/they (Costume Designer) has previously worked in Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE Summer Independent program, designing costumes for Fiddler on the Roof last summer. He has also recently acted as costume design associate for Mother Russia at Seattle Rep. CASEY PRICE, he/him (Lighting Designer) is excited to work with Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Casey has worked across the nation as a designer and technician for many companies including Arts West, Seattle Rep, Hale Center Theatre, Pioneer Theatre Company, Cape Playhouse, Walt Disney World, Orlando Rep, Arizona Broadway Theatre, and many more. Casey holds a BS from Utah Valley University.

EVAN MOSHER, he/him (Sound Designer) is an audio engineer, sound designer, and musician who's thrilled to be back with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE after previously working on Legally Blonde: The Musical and Mean Girls: High School Version. He has frequently worked with Seattle Shakespeare Company, Seattle Public Theatre, ArtsWest, Book-it Repertory Theatre, Washington Ensemble Theatre, Whitman College Theatre, On the Boards, and Cafe Nordo, where he was AV Manager and company sound designer. He is a member of the art-pop band “Awesome,” with whom he’s crafted melodic noise and peculiar performances since 2004.

LIZ HASTINGS, (Props Coordinator) was raised in Mukilteo, WA, before spending over a decade doing theatrical prop carpentry, furniture restoration, and luxury TTRPG accessory production across the country. Credits include: Stages St. Louis, Barter Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They hold a BA in theater from Western Washington University and an MFA in production technology: props from Ohio University.

ETHAN SWIM, he/him (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be stage managing this complex production. He has worked extensively with Village Theatre and Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE. Most recently, he worked on A Wrinkle in Time (KIDSTAGE) and Jersey Boys (Village Theatre). Ethan would like to thank his partner Drew, and family, for their constant love and support. ATHENA DAVIS, (Assistant Stage Manager) is honored to be involved with Les Misérables School Edition! Credits include: The 21st Annual Festival of New Musicals (Village Theatre), A Wrinkle in Time, Fiddler on the Roof, KIDSTAGE Originals 2024, Holiday Cabaret, and Bright Star (Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE). Athena is a Village Theatre Institute student, works on staff as a House Manager, and is the Village Theatre recipient of the 2024 Teeny Award. CLAUDE-MICHEL SCHÖNBERG, (Music). Born in 1944 to Hungarian parents, Claude-Michel Schönberg began his career in France as a singer, writer and producer of pop songs.

In collaboration with Alain Boublil, he is the book co-writer and the composer of La Révolution Française, Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre and The Pirate Queen. In 2008, his musical Marguerite, in collaboration with Alain Boublil, Michel Legrand and Herbert Kretzmer, opened at the Haymarket Theatre in London. Schönberg has supervised overseas productions and co-produced several international cast albums of his shows. In 2001, he composed his first ballet score, Wuthering Heights, which was created by the Northern Ballet in 2002. His ballet Cleopatra, which opened in 2011, was his second collaboration with David Nixon and his seventh complete score. In 2012, Schönberg co-wrote the screenplay and reconceived the music for the Les Misérables musical movie. His shows have won many awards over the years, most recently the WhatsonStage audience awards for Best West End Show and Best Musical Revival for the London production of Miss Saigon. Golden Globe winner, Oscar nominee and Grammy Award winner for his outstanding contribution to the creative community, Schönberg and Alain Boublil were honoured at a New York Pops gala concert in Carnegie Hall celebrating their 40-year collaboration. Schönberg was appointed Visiting Professor of Contemporary Theatre at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford University and is now an Emeritus Fellow. He is an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Music where he is a guest Professor. Schönberg married the English ballerina, Charlotte Talbot, in 2003. He is the father of one son and two daughters.

HERBERT KRETZMER, (Lyrics) was born in South Africa, where he began a career in journalism writing the commentary for a weekly cinema newsreel. He came to live in London in 1954, and pursued twin careers as newspaperman and songwriter. He was feature writer on The Daily Sketch and a profile writer on The Sunday Despatch. He joined The Daily Express in 1960 and later became its drama critic, a post he held for 18 years, covering about 3,000 first nights. From 1979 to 1987, he wrote television criticism for The Daily Mail, winning, in this capacity, two national press awards. As a lyric writer he wrote weekly songs for That Was The Week That Was and the later Ned Sherrin television shows. He won an Ivor Novello Award for the Peter Sellers/Sophia Loren comedy song "Goodness Gracious Me." Other award-winning songs include two written with, and for, Charles Aznavour: "Yesterday When I Was Young" and the chart-topping "She." Herbert Kretzmer wrote the book and lyrics for the West End musical Our Man Crichton, which starred Kenneth More and Millicent Martin, and the lyrics for The Four Musketeers, which ran for over a year at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, starring Harry Secombe as D Artagnan. He also supplied the lyrics for the Anthony Newley musical film Can Heironymous Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness? He was the co-lyricist for Kristina which he wrote with Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson (ABBA), premiered at Carnegie Hall, New York, in September 2009. Herbert Kretzmer s latest work is Marguerite, written with Michel Legrand, Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg.

Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE Technical Theater Program (TTP) provides hands-on experimental learning mentored by professionals in a wide variety of theater disciplines. TTP opportunities allow students to learn theatre industry vocational skills such as direction, design, technical theater, and management. SummerStock brings together passionate young performers, grades 6-12, to star in a professionally directed and designed musical on Village Theatre’s Mainstage. With a live orchestra, stunning production elements, and hands-on technical theater opportunities, it’s the ultimate summer experience for aspiring theater artists.
