We’re Broadway bound! Just kidding, Broadway is coming to us. ATG San Francisco (the newly renamed SFBroadway) has announced the national touring productions that will be landing in San Francisco at the Orpheum and Curran theatres next season.

The 2026/27 season will include six Tony® award-winning musicals, plus a Tony® Award-winning comedic play. Needless to say, this upcoming season is absolutely stacked with productions that are both audience favorites and award darlings.

Kicking off the season, in association with American Conservatory Theater, is Cole Escola’s dark comedy, Oh, Mary!, which reimagines Mary Todd Lincoln’s miserable and booze-filled days before her husband’s assassination. Next in December is The Outsiders, an adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s pivotal novel and Francis Ford Coppola’s 1983 film.

The first show of 2027 will be Buena Vista Social Club taking the stage in February, which tells the story of legendary Cuban singer Omara Portuondo. Following in March is the Olivier Award-winner for Best Musical in 2024 AND the best-reviewed show in West End’s history, Operation Mincemeat. Moving ahead to April, we have The Great Gatsby. We all know the story; we’ve read the book and seen the film adaptations, but this musical brings something entirely new to the tragic romance.

Coming in the summer of 2027 is Death Becomes Her, the hilarious musical reimagining of the 1992 film. And finishing off the season will be “the best musical in eons!” (Observer): Maybe Happy Ending.
