Step up to the mic at Intiman
The Puget Sound’s weekly roundup of arts, culture, and community | March 20 to 26, 2026
Do your Friday night plans include hitting a karaoke bar to sing “Golden” or, if you’re a brave one, “My Heart Will Go On”? Now, in addition to your favorite haunts like Hula Hula or Rock Box, you can take the stage at Intiman Cabaret. Intiman Theatre is hosting Karaoke Superstar, a one-night competition on April 3 which benefits Intiman’s Show the Love campaign.
Twelve singers will participate in multiple rounds of competition while the audience votes for their favorite to advance with donations. If you aren’t feeling up for a full battle, you can still have the chance to sing in an open slot between rounds.
Karaoke Superstar is a truly creative path that Intiman is taking to highlight Show the Love. The full campaign runs now through April 26. Instead of a monetary goal, which is most common, Intiman has set an objective on the number of individual donors. They hope to get 400 people to give, making it about participation and community. – Ciara
