As summer takes hold in the Bay Area, the region’s arts scene is bursting with energy. With kids out of school and warm evenings to enjoy, it’s the perfect time to experience performances that bring people together in welcoming spaces.

A selection of this month’s events are not only outdoors, but also free to attend—making the arts more accessible to all. And across the region, organizations are deepening that commitment by offering ASL interpretation, audio description, and captioning options that ensure everyone can take part.

Whether you’re drawn to the joy of live music, the power of a play, or the magic of mime, the Bay Area’s summer performances invite you to show up just as you are. There’s a place for you in every story.
