Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE: Where Young Artists Take Center Stage
The Puget Sound’s weekly roundup of arts, culture, and community | December 5 to 11, 2025
KIDSTAGE has always been a place where young performers get to step into the spotlight, and this season’s shows are a great reminder of how much talent and imagination these students bring to the stage. One production offers a concert take on Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, giving teens a chance to dive into a bold, music-driven piece. The other brings Into the Woods to life, with KIDSTAGE’s emerging artists exploring Sondheim and Lapine’s twisty blend of fairytales and real-life lessons.
Together, the two productions highlight what KIDSTAGE does best: offering real, hands-on theatre experiences while sharing the creativity and energy of young artists with the whole community. From a contemporary musical told through a concert lens to a beloved storybook classic, these shows make space for youth voices to shine — and for audiences of all ages to discover what the next generation is creating.
If you’re curious about the rising talents shaping tomorrow’s stages, these performances are a wonderful place to start.
