Welcome
Welcome Letter
On behalf of Seattle Theatre Group’s staff, board, and volunteers, welcome to the historic Paramount Theatre for Oh, Mary! We’re thrilled that Seattle is included on the first national tour of Cole Escola’s unforgettable Tony Award-winning play, which has been charming audiences on Broadway since its Off-Broadway transfer in 2024.
I know many of you are longtime Broadway at The Paramount subscribers—thank you for showing up for the arts! If this is your first time joining us for a Broadway show, I want to emphasize that your being here today helps make our nonprofit work in the community and across all our venues—The Paramount Theatre, The Moore Theatre, The Neptune Theatre, The 5th Avenue Theatre, Kerry Hall, and Remlinger Farms—possible.
Your ticket purchase to any STG show, including this performance, helps us cover the cost of our shows. Donations to STG also support the free and low-cost arts opportunities we offer through our education and community-based programs, which impact more than 60,000 people annually. At our next Broadway show, The Outsiders, STG will host middle and high school students for a matinee performance on December 3. We partner with schools to provide curriculum to engage students, connecting literature to their own lived experience. The 4Culture Doors Open King County sales tax revenue directly funds this matinee. These programs are the cornerstone of our mission and wouldn’t be possible without you and the support from our partners—your support through a donation, ticket, or taxes enables us to commit more deeply to this work.
There is something for everyone at STG—and I encourage you to explore the endless ways you can tap into all we offer. Whether it’s discovering a new artist at one of our venues or attending a workshop or class at Kerry Hall, our community arts center, I hope you continue to be inspired by the myriad of ways you can experience the arts with us. See what’s coming up and find your next arts event at stgpresents.org.
Thank you for being here and thank you for helping make the arts accessible to all. Now sit back, relax, and prepare to laugh your way through Oh, Mary!
With appreciation,
Josh LaBelle
