Letter from Leadership

Welcome to The 5th Avenue Theatre!

It’s an exciting time for The 5th Avenue Theatre Company, and I’m especially thrilled to begin this season working with our new Managing Director, Ariel Gomez Bradler. I want to dedicate this space to Ariel so she can introduce herself. I’ll be back for the next show!

Bill Berry
Executive Director, The 5th Avenue Theatre Company

Ariel Gomez Bradler, Managing Director

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the start of The 5th Avenue Theatre Company’s 2025/26 season! I’m Ariel Gomez Bradler, and I’m honored to introduce myself as the new Managing Director of this incredible organization.

I first joined The 5th in 2022, and in just a few short years I’ve had the privilege of serving in roles that deepened my work in culture, operations, and organizational strategy. Before coming to The 5th, I held leadership positions with Taproot Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theatre, and Theatre Puget Sound, experiences that shaped my belief in the arts as a cornerstone of healthy, connected communities.

As Managing Director, I will remain focused on business operations, financial stewardship, and building community partnerships that will keep The 5th strong for generations to come. I bring with me not only administrative and organizational experience, but also a deep conviction that the arts can be transformative and enduring.

It’s a thrilling moment to step into this role—at the beginning of our spectacular 46th season, the launching of the national tour of SUFFS, and the start of a new fiscal year full of opportunity, creativity, and a little bit of rebellion. (The suffragists wouldn’t want it any other way.)

Musical theater has always had a unique power to reflect, provoke, and connect. The 5th has long stood as a leader in making that power come alive on stage. I believe in this art form builds empathy, sparks change, and reminds us of who we are. I also believe rolling up our sleeves to build something bold, sustainable, and enduring because the arts aren’t just a nice-to-have—they’re a need-to-have right now, and far into the future.

As we launch this new season, I’m also thinking about the next 100 years. The 5th is more than a regional theater—it’s a cultural force with a legacy worth protecting and a future worth fighting for. I’m here to be part of the solution, and I’m ready to meet the moment with passion and collaboration.

From CHICAGO, ELF-THE MUSICAL, and Monty Python’s SPAMALOT, to Jesus Christ Superstar—it all starts now and this is your invitation. To show up, speak out, and indulge in the arts. To be part of a community that believes in the power of stories and songs that move us forward. Whether you’re subscribing, donating, volunteering, buying tickets, or simply spreading the word, there’s a role for you in this next act of our story. Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s make history together.

Warmly,
Ariel Gomez Bradler
