Curtains Up: Seattle’s Fall Arts Season Arrives
It’s time to plan your fall performance schedule. Check out our roundup of this fall’s highlights.

As the leaves turn, Seattle’s arts scene comes alive with a season as colorful as the city itself. The fall calendar is brimming with performances that range from intimate plays at the new Union Arts Center and Seattle Rep to grand symphonic experiences at Benaroya Hall. The Seattle Symphony sets the tone with cinematic events like Flow in Concert, where the orchestra performs a live score to the Oscar-winning animated film, alongside sweeping programs like Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony.
Over at the University of Washington, Meany Center welcomes Award-winning pianist and cultural ambassador, Mahani Teave, for an evening that allows music to become the storyteller. And across the region, venues from Village Theatre to the 5th Avenue Theatre are offering bold musicals, timeless revivals, and collaborations that push the boundaries of what live performance can be. Whether you’re after the thrill of a full orchestra, the intimacy of chamber music, or the immediacy of live theatre, this fall in Seattle offers countless ways to be inspired.
WALKDONTRUN invites the community to activate Seattle’s urban parks, sidewalks, plazas, and vacant storefronts with music, visual art, and performance along a 3-kilometer route from Pioneer Square to Belltown. Click to step into the know.
