On behalf of Seattle Theatre Group’s staff, board, and volunteers, welcome to The Paramount Theatre for this performance of Hell’s Kitchen. Whether you’re a longtime subscriber or this is your first time attending a show with us, we’re thrilled you’re here.

This year STG is celebrating the 25th anniversary of More Music @ The Moore, a program at the heart of our Education & Community Engagement work. More Music @ The Moore brings together emerging local musicians ages 14-21 of nearly every genre and style to learn and build skills through group collaboration and mentorship from music industry professionals, culminating in an inspiring performance at the historic Moore Theatre. 

We’re honored to welcome this year’s music director—Adam Blackstone. Adam is an award-winning writer and musician who is the music supervisor, co-orchestrator, and co-arranger of the very musical you’re here to see today! Adam won a Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album for his work on the original cast recording of Hell’s Kitchen, and we’re excited for this year’s participating musicians to be inspired by his dynamic artistry. 

As a nonprofit arts organization, creating opportunities for local young artists is as essential to our mission as bringing exceptional touring performances to our venues. Like the story of Hell’s Kitchen, STG aims to support young artists find their voice. Since More Music’s inception, more than 660 young musicians have participated, 130 mentors and 10 music directors have facilitated collaboration and programming, and more than 55 genres and cultural styles have been represented.  

More Music participants are the artists of tomorrow and we need your help to support them today. There’s no cost to participants—STG provides meals and a stipend so these young artists can focus on their creative growth by learning from peers and mentors. We rely on individual donations to ensure programs like this one are free or low-cost. We invite you to make a donation to support More Music @ The Moore. We also hope you’ll join us on August 7 at 7:30pm at The Moore for the celebratory performance featuring these young artists, who will be performing with Adam. STEMARCIAE BAIN (Swing, Assistant Dance Captain) Proud island girl from The Bahamas and AMDA graduate. She has performed in In the Heights, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Tootsie, 42nd Street, Footloose, and West Side Story. Thrilled to make her swing debut in Hell’s Kitchen, she thanks God, family, and friends.

MIYA BASS (Swing, u/s Miss Liza Jane, u/s Crystal, u/s Millie) is a vocalist and actor from Jamaica NY. She has been a contestant on The Voice, working with coaches Alicia Keys and Adam Levine. Miya has also performed leading roles in: Waitress, Aida, Sister Act, Rent, and The Wiz.

ADAM BLACKSTONE (Music Supervisor; Co- Orchestrator; Co- Arranger) is a multi-faceted musician, Emmy and Grammy Award winner, and CEO of BASSic Black Ent.
