Support Berkeley Arts with Measure Y
The Bay Area’s weekly roundup of arts, culture, and community | September 4 to 10, 2026
If you’re reading this email, you are a supporter and patron of the arts. No matter your capacity, you care. You can show that support in a simple way by adding your name to a Berkeley coalition working to pass Measure Y. This measure aims to protect Berkeley’s arts community by supporting organizations that are still struggling after the pandemic; by providing funds for educational and community programs; and by defending free speech in the arts.
Berkeley’s creative economy supports 8,000 jobs and contributes $10 million in annual City revenue. Not to mention the light and inspiration it brings to us all. Join the coalition by adding your name. It doesn’t get much more simple than that. — Ciara
