A new space for a new season

All year we’ve been hearing about the Amplify project at Benaroya Hall. And now, with Seattle Symphony’s season opener just around the corner, the result is ready for its public debut.
Amplify’s additions and improvements include new gathering places all around Benaroya including over 500 seats inviting visitors to sit and chat; a café that will be open for breakfast and lunch with a menu curated by award-winning Seattle chef Ethan Stowell; the Boeing Company Gallery, open on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and finally a new Community Room which is an adaptive space for performances, classes, and rotating exhibitions that will highlight work from artists of our community. The first exhibition is presented in partnership with Arte Noir. Portals of Imagination explores Black artists, art and culture.
The newly renovated public areas are open to everyone, whether they are taking in a show or not. This project is truly for the people of Seattle no matter their level of involvement in orchestral music. — Ciara
